The Student Coalition Empowering Emerging Nations is an Emory-wide organization associated with the Emory Development Initiative. Seeking to allow students, staff, faculty, and alumni to invest their expertise and time in development initiatives, SCEEN forms student groups and matches them with specific projects carried out by NGOs, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

Emory Economic Development Initiative (EEDI)

The Emory Economic Development Initiative is a student led organization focusing on raising awareness on socio-economic issues that are prevalent in different regions of the world. Every month, EEDI concentrates on a distinct region of the world by highlighting relevant social and economic obstacles that this particular region encounters, and specifically how economic development can alleviate a number of these difficulties. In addition to creating dialogue amongst students through speeches, debates and forums, EEDI develops projects external to Emory that can supplement the global fight for freedom through development.
